  3. Calculator (almost all math and science classes require them)

  6. Hair dryer (it’s chilly in the winter especially if your hair is wet)
  7. Refrigerator (sometimes you can’t have them or something you can rent them)
  8. Phone
  9. Alarm clock
  10. TV/VCR (check to see if you can get cable services)
  11. Desk lamp
  12. Office supplies (stationary, notebooks, pens, pencils, scissors, highlighters, ruler, floppy disks, CD-RW’s, etc)
  13. Extension cords (Murphy’s Law says that if there is any possible place on the wall opposite your desk to put the plugs, they will.)
  14. Stamps and an address book
  15. Dictionary

  17. Personal hygiene products:
    • Toothpaste, toothbrush, dental floss, and mouthwash
    • Deodorant
    • Razors and shaving cream

  18. First-aid kit including band-aids, antiseptic, and thermometer

  20. Safe and reliable method of birth control if you plan to be sexually active (condoms, The Pill, etc.)

  24. Cleaning products (general all purpose cleaner, glass cleaner, and paper towels)
